Last Time I was Afraid
It was a year ago and I was downstate in Detroit to watch a Detroit Lions game against the Tampa Bucceneers, and then the Detroit Redwings when they played the New York Rangers. Between the two games that I went to it turned out great, both teams won. But it was the ride home that gave me a little scare. We were on our way to Birch Run and not even 5 minutes out of Detroit our navigation system directed us off the free way. We listened to it even though I thought we shouldn't because I could tell the direction that we were going was to a sketchy neighbor hood. Torn down houses were every where, fenced in areas, and it didn't seem like there were people even here. The navigation system took us down farther and for some reason my parents still listened to it. The farther we kept going the scarier it got, people on the side of the streets just staring us down and the houses were even more a banded then the ones then the ones that we saw off the free way. It got even better when the navigation system said that we have reached our destination and we were looking at a dead end and more people just staring. At that moment we were lost and afraid and we didn't dare to walk outside and ask for direction. Eventually our navigator got us out and brought us to the real Birch Run.
